About Monica Nelson
Founder of the art of embodied living
I’m Monica, a somatic embodiment life coach, holistic nutritionist, and chef, and the creator of The Art of Embodied Living — a philosophy and lifestyle brand that bridges nourishment, guidance, and clarity.
My work is rooted in eight years of experience as a holistic nutritionist and chef, where I discovered that true wellness is not just about the food that you eat, but it starts with how we feel in our bodies. That realization led me to deepen my studies in somatic coaching, NLP, parts work, and Reiki energy healing, blending science and spirituality to support the whole person.
My journey has been shaped by deep transformation, from working in public relations to studying nutrition and building and later selling a successful meal prep company, to traveling the world and rebuilding a life guided by alignment instead of hustle. After experiencing burnout and disconnection firsthand, I committed to redefining success through joy, embodiment, and nervous system regulation.
As a Projector in Human Design, my gift is to see people deeply, to recognize their unique patterns, potentials, and pathways toward alignment. This energetic blueprint allows me to hold space with precision and sensitivity, guiding my clients to clarity, balance, and embodied confidence during times of transition.
Through The Art of Embodied Living, I help others reconnect to the wisdom of their bodies, simplify nourishment, and cultivate harmony across the five facets of being: mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and energetic. My mission is to support you in creating a life that feels grounded, vibrant, and free. Rooted in authenticity, presence, and joy.
I am a somatic coach certified through a ICF certified program, I am an Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP) through the Institute of Holistic Nurtition, a Reiki Master, and I also hold a BA in Communications from Simon Fraser University.
